We heart summer!! We have been having too much fun. Besides camping last weekend with PEPS, we've:
Hung out on the beach with Shaina and Baby E!! I was way too busy oogling that kiddo to get any cute pictures, but I did get this one of Lily with her toes actually in the water, at the beach! Yesssss.
We also got to go to Amara's Butterfly themed beach birthday party! It was so sweet of Amara to invite all the girls in Lily's "class" to her beach birthday, which ended up being 3. It was perfect!
Lily loves the "Na na na boo boo" dance that she learned from Kenley. Yikes! It is pretty cute though...The kids looked way too cute in their wings!!
We celebrated the last day of school with a BBQ at Coulon Park with the Friesens! It was such a beautiful night that all the kiddos jumped in the water. It was a great way to kick off the summer!
Since school has been out, we've been working on reorganizing the garage (thanks Ron!), went on a mini-hike with our buddy, Alex at McCollum Park. How adorable are these two little hikers?
Lily had her first dentist appointment! We went to see a friend's husband, Dr. Nolan. Lily loved the office, but did not like when Dr. Nolan had to look in her mouth (all he did was brush her teeth!). She did get some great goodies, and even got to brush Baby Boy's teeth on the way out. Ever since then, she's been telling us how she can brush her teeth "like Dr. Olin!" (We'll work on it!) and doing a very thorough job!
We went to KK's graduation!
This is Lily refusing to have her picture taken (gasp!!), and wearing a lovely outfit including yellow tutu, new flip flops (finally she has her own and maybe will stop stealing mine!) and her new Superman shirt. Right after this, she also did her new trick: running away. Yikes! A couple of times she has turned and sprinted away from us. Yesterday we overheard her saying to baby, "don't run away, not safe, stay with mommy and daddy" so hopefully that is starting to sink in!She's also been really into expressions lately. Last week I pulled Lily in the trailer to check out a new park in our neighborhood. When she saw the park, she said, "biiiiig slide, oh my gosh, WOW!" She is also working on the lyrics to the Washington Alma Mater (she keeps asking for it over and over!), and yesterday sang me a mash up of the Alma Mater, Bow Down to Washington, ending with foreeeeever! Go Huskies!" We love to hear her sing, count, and say the ABCs! We learned another new song from her this week, this one about fireflies. It's crazy that she sings us entire songs that we have never heard before!
She's still freaking out all the parents on the playground by finding the biggest, tallest thing to climb at the park and scaling it. We took her to The Little Gym this week to a gymnastics class and she was in HEAVEN! She loved the balance beams and the uneven bars, and found tons of really high places to jump off!
It's been hot here, so we have been at the pool twice and the beach at Silver Lake...Jason is in heaven! Lily was super proud of herself when she discovered that she could walk on her feet on the bottom of the pool. She's getting so big! She also likes to climb in and out on the ladder, and watch Daddy to a "big splash" off the diving board.
We are so thankful to have this time with our crazy, funny girl!!
