Discovery Park Adventure!

What a beautiful park! Jason and I went to "Disco Park" together when we were just early dating, but we haven't been back and we have been missing out! We decided to go for a picnic, and were in search of a mythical purple flower field that my local photographer girls were raving about. We called up some teacher friends that live in the area and hit the road!

Lily did great! Well, she did have a hard time getting started. And then she did get started, and fell on her face. Like, mouth full of dirt, eyes full of dirt, nose and lip scraped up, etc. We had to basically bathe her in wipes and feed her lots of grapes to recover. But once Macauley arrived, Lily was "ready for go!"

 We made it to the beach! Picnic time!

 Time to head back up! We wanted to hit the "historic area" at the golden hour and the sun was dropping fast. Let me tell you, getting 2 two year olds to hike back up a hill when it is definitely already past bedtime is definitely "adventure!"

 We found it!! We got to the field just in time to enjoy the last of the golden hour light.

These guys are such a fun little family.

We hiked back to the car to the sound of hooting owls. This is definitely a park that we want to go back to!
