At home with Lillian

I'm reading a photography book right now that encourages parents to take pictures of everyday things that "tell the story" of your baby's first year. So here are some fun ones that we took around the house for no particular reason (but are more chances to practice with light and play with lenses!).

Getting big in the tub! She's really into her bath toys now, but I couldn't figure out how to capture the adorableness of her searching for the toys that went over the edge....maybe next bath time!

It is Fall in our front yard!

We still love lounging in bed in the mornings with our giggly, smiley baby! Also, I've been playing with self portraits.

I got some cute expressions and fun with Daddy on this day, but that manual-focus prime lense is tricky to avoid the blur!

PEPS Halloween!

We hosted PEPs Halloween at our house on Tuesday! We had so much fun dressing up the babies and letting them go at each other. The days of squirming on the blanket together are over, these babies are ready to MOVE! One baby is taking advantage of her ability to crawl to steal toys from every other baby. The rest will be able to defend themselves soon!

We thought we spotted it yesterday...and today she is a clapping fiend! 

8 Months Old!

Lily is 8 months old! 

She has 2 teeth, and her first cold. She is a dancing machine, apparently likes to play Peekaboo, and is reaching out for and grabbing anything she can get her hands on! She can sit for long periods of time and play with toys. She is working hard on learning to crawl, but so far we have no movement. She sometimes tries to go from sitting to her tummy, but she mostly just lands on her face. Learning to crawl is hard on the nose! She is eating most of what we eat now. She will try anything, but it is sticks of meat that don't go flying off the tray! 

I was hoping to get a shot of the teeth, but that was very optimistic. They are teeny tiny still.

She also figured out how to play herself some dancing music, and accompany herself on the shaker. She loves some good shaking!

I almost forgot her big news...she busted out 2 tiny bottom teeth this weekend! With no drama! Yay!

Brehms in the Patch!

This weekend we decided to try out a new pumpkin patch, The Farm. Patches seem to be springing up like crazy out in Snohomish! We had too much fun. We could have kept ourselves busy all day!

PEPS in the Patch! Lily's 1st Pumpkin Patch!

We decided to take advantage of the great weather and a free weekend to meet our PEPS friends at the Pumpkin Patch! We headed to our family's favorite spot, Craven Farm, in Snohomish. It was very entertaining trying to get all the babies to take pictures together. We will definitely have to go back with the fam and get KK's annual pictures! Here is Rachel's post from last year...we took Lily, but she was just a little bump! She is even cuter now.
