We had a great Christmas this year!! We really enjoyed the entire holiday season, and were especially looking forward to the big day this year and the big announcement...Disneyland!
We've found some really cool lights in our area (and some not so cool ones). This is a church is our area that has a great timed-to-music light display and a train display that had Lily entranced.
Christmas Eve is finally here!! Lily is all dressed up for a fancy lunch at Tablas with Papa.
And then we headed to church to meet the Friesens and Browns. Lily loved trying to singe her hair during the candlelighting.
Also, she loved running around the lobby copying Jack's moves.
Jack: "Lily, I never thought I'd say this, but we're pretty good at attacking [I think some sort of Transformer??] together."
Finally, we headed to Papa's house to leave out cookies and milk for Santa! But first, some cocoa and cookies for us. (I got those adorable teacups from our local Buy Nothing Group, on Christmas Eve!! I love them!).
Christmas Jammies!!
The Night Before Christmas (Little Critter style) and The Grinch...
Then we went home to bed (super late) and wake up calls from Rachel and Kenley (super early!).
It's Christmas morning!! Lily snagged the new Tinkerbell doll from her stocking, and then was pretty much good and not too excited to open anything else! Kenley, however, has this Christmas thing down by now and was the master gift-passer and opener.

We packed this giant box with all things Disney: A DVD for new visitors to the park, Minnie t-shirts, personalized Minnie blankets, autograph books, water bottles and glow sticks for the park, count-down chains for the trip, magic marker books, stickers, post-its for the plane, etc etc. At the very bottom of the box were the biggest hit for Lily: 8 Disney princesses with "Magic Clip" dresses that are easy to switch between the princesses. The girls are super excited! Kenley said "that's amazing!" and Lily said, "I'll go get my shoes on." We watched videos of Disneyland, learned about the rides, and talked about all the princesses we are going to meet. So many people have helped us put together this magical gift/trip for the girls. We can't wait!
Princess play, ready, set, go!
Play...
...stop for Papa's yummy breakfast...
...and play...
....and play...
...and play...and so one throughout the day and the next morning! The girls love these tiny dolls!
Home for a nap and some dinner prep, then off to the Young's for dinner! We even got to visit one of my students/Megan's babysitting gigs across the street.
Time to head for home. Lily was absolutely exhausted by this point, and couldn't settled for bed until almost 10:30. Too much Christmas fun, but we had a blast! Merry Christmas everyone!!
