Cabo - Lazy Days at the Resort

We had so much fun just relaxing at the resort! Every day we would wake up and have breakfast and then either hit to pool or the beach. The kids alternated naps for most of the afternoons, so our days were pretty chill until about 5:00. We occasionally hit up water aerobics at 12:00, and tried to join in "The Lazy Game" every day (which Jason won on our last day there!). We joked we were at adult day camp!

 Both kids loved to swim up to the bar! OK, we all loved the swim up bar. Who are we kidding??

  Lily didn't really love playing IN the pool. She did like playing around the pool with her cups, but mostly she just wanted to hang on the towel, eat snacks, and read books.

Did I mention snacks??

We had some poolside entertainment! "Great white shark, swimming in the waaaaater."

There was a gorgeous beach! Once we turned away all the vendors trying to sell us hats, jewelry, excursions, etc, it was a pretty nice place to hang out. Lily wouldn't actually go near the water after The Big Wave Incident, and she refused to touch the sand. She preferred cuddling with Daddy in the beach chairs.

We did make many trips down to the beach just to visit the horses who staged at the foot of the stairs for horseback rides.

  

Dawn and I enjoyed unlimited access to our children and beautiful light and husbands who can't say no to many many many photographs. :)

 This was us every afternoon! It's a rough life.

Lily liked hanging in the hotel room and jumping on the giant king sized bed!

This was right before she left a huge pen streak across the white duvet cover. Oops!

In late afternoon we dressed for dinner. The buffet rotated themes each night, but there were also two restaurants to choose from: an upscale restaurant and an asian fushion.

Love this collage of these two cuties reading a romantic Brown Bear Brown Bear by the fire pit. Also, they are almost exactly a year different in age, but surprisingly not that different in height...

 It was so nice to have these long, relaxing days to enjoy being with our kiddos. Lily is so hilarious right now, and learning new things all the time. She learned to say "hola!" to every person we passed, and liked saying "OH YEAH!" with Daddy, just liked the announcer at the pool. She sang songs and told us stories. It was easy to eat with no prep and no clean up, and lots of options that kept everybody happy. We had nothing to do but be on Lily's schedule, and suited us all just fine! It was actually relaxing, not like other vacations where we came home feeling like we needed a vacation to recover from our vacation! Not that Monday wasn't still a rough transistion...
