It seems like the last few weeks have been nothing but rain! We have been trying to get out and do things as much as we can, but it is starting to get a little old. And it means that most of our recent pictures are phone pics. Lily is busier than ever, though! Here are some things she's been up to recently.
We got to go out to breakfast with friends Steve and Terri recently. Lily rocked her new backpack! She is also very much into Baby lately. Baby must ride in the car with us so that she and Lily can have lots of conversations. Mostly "it's ok Baby" and "sleepy Baby?" and "poopy Baby?" <-- complete with pants check!
Last week we celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday with green eggs and ham!
We also used green eggs to do some paint prints. And Lily added these post-its to make it quite the unique piece of art.
Here is an adorable Dr. Seuss hat that Lily made at school!
This was so fun to watch! Lily started making tiny marks on this piece of paper and said, "Mommy, Daddy, Lily, Rachel, Kenley, Cooper, Papa!" Is she really starting to draw people already?!?
We've been trying to get to the pool as much as we can lately. Lily and Jason discovered the indoor playground at Mountlake Terrace is a great place to wait for the swim time to start!
We celebrated Mom's birthday on the 26th. We went to Ivar's at Mukilteo after enjoying a lovely sunset at the Lighthouse Park playground.
Check out Lily shoveling in Ivar's caesar salad!
Lily needed to stay home sick on Monday. When she woke up from her nap, it was actually sunny outside and NOT raining!! We grabbed our sunglasses and sprinted outside to soak up every minute!!
We found Daddy along the way!
I tried to use the time at home on our sick day to take actual pictures of Lily with my big girl camera. I've been getting such great pics in this spot, that I hoped to get some good ones of Lily. Instead, I got super serious and super grumpy Lily. Mommy, seriously, do NOT get between me and the Lily videos on your phone!!
Central Market is a great place to hang out when it rains. Lily is obsessed with their tiny shopping carts. And Baby. And her red boots (which still fit!).
Lily and Jason both got their passports! One thing getting us through this terrible weather is knowing we will be on the sunny beaches of Mexico in Spring!!
Lily has been quite the chatterbox lately! She loves to sing, and is learning lots of words from the Frozen and Laurie Berkner CDs that we listen to over and over and over and over again in the car. She also tells us stories. Her favorites are the "Lily Goes Wheeee in the Snow" and "Lily Kenley Swings Park Higher and Higher."
One last picture...Lily rocking chair!! Edited by me in Lightroom!! I finished my 4 week Lightroom course on ClickinMoms, and now feel a little more legit since I can actually correct and edit my photos. Hooray!!
