We just got home from 10 days on the road! We went to the Beach House, Medford, Florence, and back to the Beach House...that's a lot of driving! Lily was a great traveler!
Our first stop was Mo's in Cannon Beach...KK loves her some Mo's Clam Chowder!Lily's first trip to the beach house! Here are some monkeys cuddled on the couch for bedtime stories.
Here is evidence that is sometimes is actually sunny at the Nedonna beach!
The Tillamook County Fair was in town!
We got to see the traditional Tillamook Country Fair Pig-N-Ford races. Sooo funny!
Our longest driving stretch was from Nedonna to Medford. It was worth it when we arrived at Aunt Becky's house! Lily was very happy to see her Grandma Nan and Grandpa Ron already there, and to meet Uncle Jim, Aunt Becky, their giant bathtub, and their backyard cows.
We went for a morning walk on the Rogue before the day really heated up...it hit 103 degrees while we were there!
A special day...Lily got to meet her Great Grandparents Ruth and Art and visit their home in Medford.

We took advantage of the beautiful porch at Aunt Becky and Uncle Jim's house. Lily's first time sleeping in a home on the National Register of Historic Places!

Back on the road! This river looked so inviting we had to stop in to dip our toes!
It was MUCH cooler on the coast. We arrived at the campground in Florence, OR, and immediately busted out our fleece and hoodies!
We camped right alongside the Oregon Sand Dunes National Recreation Area. Nan and Ron were sweet enough to watch the baby so we could go on a dune buggy adventure!

We had fun walking around Old Town Florence, checking out the shops, the marina, and eating at Mo's...again!
On our way up the coast we stopped at the Sea Lion Caves. We saw big piles of sea lions, swimming packs of sea lions, and some whales!Stop #1 at the cheese factory...
Back to the beach! We met up with friends MaryEllen, Elissa, Cole, Kim, Kristi, Steph, and Kurt. They were all headed to a wedding of a high school friend, and we took advantage of the opportunity to celebrate MEO and Kristi's birthdays.
All dressed up for the wedding in Manzanita! Congrats Rachael and Charles!
We had a great time, but we are happy to be back home with our cat and our own bed/crib. This trip was also our last big hurrah for the summer...back to work for some professional development and classroom prep before the kids arrive on September 4th!
