Tulips Part II!

We had an exciting day yesterday (We <3 Spring Break)! First, we were off to the hospital to meet a freshly plucked baby. One of Lily's best friends is now a big brother! Lily was very interested in her tiny hands and feet, her cry, and telling everyone that she has a sister-cousin, Kenley.

Then we hit the road to visit our friends in La Conner. We got to catch up, go out to dinner in La Conner, and then hit the tulip fields right at the "golden hour." The toddlers had a blast running around the fields, playing on the bus, and jumping in mud puddles (not Lily, of course, but we'll work on that. Maybe next year?)

Glowy gloriousness!! This is why I was dying to go at sunset!

Lily loved playing on the bus and bossing around all of her riders (us).

We had so much fun we stayed until the sun was gone!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! Rachel and I got back just in time for the Bunny's arrival. We had a delicious brunch at the Young's, and the Easter bunny even found us there! It would have been just perfect if we weren't missing Megan.

Coopie loves his new soccer ball!

 Let the hunt begin!

"Um, mommy. This one is dirty."

Lily is maybe not ready for a community egg hunt...

The Easter Bunny surprised us with cuties in the big eggs!
Thanks for the great dresses Aunt Gail!
Lily is all warmed up now for Friesen family Easter in a couple weeks when Nan and Ron get home. xoxoxo

Tulips are Early this Year!

We had a blast at the tulips today! We are planning to go over Spring Break, but the tulips came early this year and we didn't want to miss it! Plus we could go with Rachel and the kids this way. We'll probably still go again anyway!

Today was cold and windy, but overcast makes nice pictures and it wasn't too crowded, so we'll take it! Lily liked watching the tractor tires roll through the mud, though of course she won't touch the mud, even with her boots on!

Coop did NOT want to put his boots on!!

Kenley is the opposite of her cousin, and continues to head straight for the mud puddles every year!

 Family shots!

Lily says she'll smile "next time."
Oh well, Jason and I can smile anyway!

Lily was super excited to pick out tulips to take home!
Check out our other tulips visits here, including Lily's 1st visit at only 10 weeks old!:
